Alex sat beside him, stretching his legs out in front of him. “Well, might as well make the best of it. It could be hours before anyone checks back here.”
The silence stretched between them, filled only by the distant hum of the school’s evening activities. Jake rubbed his sore calf muscle, wincing slightly.
“You okay?” Alex asked, noticing the grimace.
“Yeah, just a bit tight from the game,” Jake admitted, rolling his ankle to stretch it.
Alex hesitated, then offered, “I could help with that. My mom taught me some good massage techniques for sore muscles.”
Jake looked at him skeptically. “You? Massaging my leg? That’s rich.”
“Hey, don’t knock it till you try it,” Alex said, a playful challenge in his eyes. “Come on, lie down. What else are we gonna do?”
After a moment’s consideration, Jake shrugged and lay back on the bench, propping his feet up. “Alright, but if you tickle me, I swear—”
“Relax, man,” Alex laughed, positioning himself at Jake’s feet. He began to knead the tense muscles, his fingers surprisingly strong and skilled.
Jake let out a surprised groan of relief as the knots in his calf loosened under Alex’s touch. “Okay, I take it back. That actually feels amazing.”
Encouraged, Alex continued, moving up to Jake’s thighs, working out the stiffness there too. The room filled with the sounds of their breathing, punctuated by the occasional sigh or murmur of approval from Jake.
As Alex’s hands moved expertly over Jake’s legs, an unexpected tension began to build between them. The air seemed charged, heavy with something neither had anticipated. Jake’s breaths grew deeper, his body responding in ways he hadn’t expected to Alex’s ministrations…
